“Teddy and Booker T” by Brian Kilmeade is a parallel biography of Teddy Roosevelt’s and Booker T Washington’s lives.
This is not a book about the Roosevelt’s long aristocracy (air-is-tau-cracy) or Booker T Washington’s humble beginnings as a slave in America.
It shows us that they both men were born into a time and a place and a circumstance and then had to make decisions about what directions they wanted their lives to go.
Both were extremely different yet both did great things. Neither was perfect yet both had a humility in accepting hardship on life’s terms and pressing onward to make the best of it.
